Abstract
|

|
Invasive fibrous (Riedel´s) thyroiditis is usually insidious in onset with a protracted clinical course. Its etiology is obscure but its occasional acute onset and rapid progression suggest more than one possible cause. St is ´sometimes. associated with similar fibroscierotic processes in other areas (mediast inum, lungs, orbits, retroperitoneal tissues, common bile duct) in the syndrome of so-called multifocai fibrosclerosis.
A case of Riedel´s struma, involved Lt. lobe of thyroid was experienced at the surgicad department of Korea University Medical College.
